Castles, streets, squares, ups and downs : everything is like it was centuries ago

In the area of Riccione , in the hinterland , delightful towns and villages are hidden, that can cast a spell on you with the charm of their ancient buildings and streets.

Among these villages we have to mention Montefiore Conca , that was recently declared one the hundred most beautiful villages in Italy, Santarcangelo di Romagna , famous for its tufa caves , and still Casteldelci , Pennabilli , Gemmano , Montegridolfo , Maiolo , Monte Colombo , Poggio Berni , Albereto ,Mondaino , each with its own historical heritage and its castle and medieval walls.

In these countries, history, art and culture are part of natural landscapes. Verucchio as Longiano , ancient fortresses, dominate the area from the top of hills with an air of grandeur. Some of these villages, as Talamello with his "fossa" cheese, also offer interesting culinary surprises with typical intense and very special flavour.

Torriana with its Castle of Montebello is linked to a a mysterious legend, that only who dares to visit it  will discover ...

Coriano, with its castles in each village is crucial to understand how powerful the Malatesta were;

and again the village of Meleto , the magnificent San Leo with its fortress, the land of Paolo and Francesca : Gradara , Montescudo and its fortress ,Novafeltria , San Clemente and its fortress, Monte Grimano and its baths, Sant'Agata Feltria and its famous truffle festival , Morciano di Romagna and its festivals ...

Every village of the hinterland of Rimini and Conca and  Valmarecchia is full of emotions and really bring to life the past times , a famous poet Tonino Guerra,  called them "the places of the soul" or the places loved by Giovanni Pascoli.

San Marino is an ancient Republic built around the majestic Mount Titan, with its old three towers ais a very modern and independent, just a few steps away from Riccione.

Right behind Catholic you can find the small but lovely village of San Giovanni in Marignano , famous for the "Witches festival" and for being able to mix together present and past perfectly.
